In an X post, Clara Shih announced leading a new product team at Meta, more specifically in the AI space (what else).
I’m thrilled to share today that I’ve joined @Meta to lead a new Business AI group. Our vision for this new product group is to make cutting-edge AI accessible to every business, empowering all to find success and own their future in the AI era.

The new product team, called 'Business AI', aims to "make cutting-edge AI accessible to every business, empowering all to find success and own their future in the AI era."
This role is a stepping stone in an already impressive career.
In 2020, Clara launched Hearsay Systems, a product that "enables sales reps to brand themselves as expert advisors on social networks". In 2024, Hearsay was acquired for a reported $125 million by Yext.
Clara then moved into two CEO roles at Salesforce, first Service Cloud then AI.
Now, joining Meta "feels like a full circle moment" for Clara, as she had published "The Facebook Era" in 2010, a book about the rise of social media.
What will the 'Business AI' product team do?
This new product team will focus on making AI accessible to all businesses. On top of working with Meta's Llama models (600+ million downloads to date, dayum!), the team will also implement AI in the physical world through Meta's AR glasses and VR headsets.
