Threads improve their analytics package

Introducing a breakdown between follower & non-follower views

Threads’ new analytics package / threads.com

Threads, the Meta-owned Twitter-like social media app, is on a bit of a tear. They're recently released:

  • Custom feeds

  • New & improved search

  • Summaries of trending topics

And more.

Their latest update, announced by Adam Mosseri on Threads, helps users analyse their posts' performance.

Your Threads posts performance...

...is broken down into two sections: views from followers and views from non-followers.

The lightweight analytics package is also expected to soon display how many followers a post has generated for you, something Substack have been experimenting with for their top users.

Threads vs. Bluesky vs. X

Threads' sudden burst of product development speed is likely related to Bluesky's dramatic rise to stardom.

App usage research published last month shows the state of play, per Similarweb:

Bluesky overtook Threads in Daily Visits in the US during the election / techcrunch.com

Bluesky is admittedly still way behind these two competitors but, given the velocity of their user acquisition, the gap might close sooner than expected.
